As I’ve mentioned before, my writing has been on a bit of a hiatus. But that doesn’t mean my creative gears have stopped working. To quench my creator’s thirst, I first created a board game about dinosaurs, and this inspired me to do something else: create ANOTHER board game.
This new game takes place in the world of my book, Angel from the Rust, a world I call Earth Medieval.
In this game, you are a hero sent by your nation to lead an expedition into the Iron Wilds, a stretch of wilderness hiding the ruins of an advanced civilization. If you are to lay your claim to this land and harvest its resources, you must first explore the forests and hills and overcome their dangers. But you will face more than beasts while roaming this strange wilderness. Heroes from other nations are just as ambitious as you are to take the land as their own.
A few prototypes of the game have been printed, and I’ve already played it with a few friends (and I’m proud to say, we had a blast!).
Looking forward, the game will need to get played/tested a lot before it can be launched out into the world. (From what I’ve researched, you have to test a game at least 100 times in order to make revisions and to get all the kinks out.)
I will keep you posted on how this process works out. This world of board game making is new to me, so it should be an exciting adventure.
